European World Cup Qualifier Predictions (Part 1)

With the World Cup still over a year away, the fun has already kicked off in the form of the European qualifiers. 9 groups of 6 teams each compete in a round robin style tournament, with each team playing the other 5 teams in their group twice. Once all 10 matches have been played, the top finisher from each group will advance to the World Cup. As for the runners up, the best 8 of the lot will go to a playoff, and four of them will claim a spot in Russia. In this article, we are going to predict 5 of the 9 groups. Stay tuned for next week, when we do groups F through I.

FA Cup Predictions

The “Final Four” of the FA Cup is set, and it is looking to be one of the best conclusions in recent memory. All the upsets and giant killers have been eliminated, and all four teams that remain are in the top 5 of the Premier League – Chelsea, Spurs, Manchester City, and Arsenal. This is far from the norm of the FA Cup; take last year for example – Crystal Palace, Watford, Manchester United, and Everton made up the semi-finalists, and none of those clubs qualified for the Champions League. MLS Cup Predictions

The 2017 MLS season kicked off last night, as the Portland Timbers welcomed expansion team Minnesota United to the league by thrashing them 5-1. The MLS is one of the most unique leagues in the world, as not many others feature a playoff system to decide a champion rather than just having the season decide it.
